Sharon…thanks so much for sharing this technique. I’ve embedded your video on my website and illustrated it using my own quilt (it’s a small one…38×38). Absolutely love it over pin basting!! Needless to say, I’m an avid subscriber.

Thanks so much Sharon, you are so kind sharing your skills and knowledge. I followed your instructions from the atom up and this is the first time ever I had a perfectly flat and even quilt. You are a genius and I am indebted to you. I’ve just had a look at you site Sharon and I was pleased to see that you can join on a monthly subscription which is great. Best wishes

I just joined up to you tube to be able to comment on Sharons great videos. I’m in the process of using the basting method on a larger quilt. This way I can sit comfertably at the diningroom table doing it. Fantastic!!
    Thank you Sharon!

You’ve have made an excellent video for a beginning quilter…me. I didn’t know how I was going to tackle my king size quilt for quilting. Thanks. And after going through glue sticks and being frustrated I shall make your School glue method. Thanks again.

For larger quilts you want to use the appropriate legnth. For a king/queen size make sure that it is much wider. 8 – 10 inches is good but use what works best for you. If you are using a thicker batting make sure it is even wider. Play with it a bit and see what works best for you.

Thank you Sharon, I have subscribed to your network. I do have a question with bigger quilts do you still use boards or could one carefully roll each layer and slowly unravel it to baste? the boards would very long indeed for queen and king. It all makes such sense though and especially not having to start basting in the middle etc. which I have always been told to do and find it quite tricky at time. Thank you Sharon, your work is fantastic!! Annie Dunn, Saudi Arabia
